ECO54 Yshield paint, 10L, priced at €405 (including VAT), provides protection against electromagnetic waves ranging from -44 to -100 dB from 10 MHz to 40 GHz, shielding against high frequencies (5G base stations, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, etc.) and low-frequency electric fields.

Specially designed for people with allergies.

YShield® wall paints help protect your home from external electromagnetic fields, whether high-frequency (base stations, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, satellites, radar, DECT, wireless telecommunications networks, radio repeaters, etc.) or low-frequency fields (electricity cables, etc.).

They create a shielded enclosure (Faraday cage) where external electrosmog (electromagnetic smog) is virtually prevented from entering your home.

Unlike other paints, these do not use metallic compounds but only carbon, which acts as a conductor.

The paint therefore does not oxidise, and, more importantly, it prevents excessive re-emissions within the home from internal sources that may emit electromagnetic fields.

They can be used both indoors and outdoors. They are environmentally friendly and safe for health, as they contain no solvents or toxic chemical additives. They are applied in the same way as conventional paints.

They are also used for shielding:

  • Strategically sensitive areas where computer and frequency data must not leak to the outside.
  • Electronic components, to prevent high-frequency interference between multiple components and ensure RF compatibility.

Features:

  • Biocompatible and hypoallergenic: contains no metal, solvents or toxic chemical additives # Durable and tear-resistant
  • Handling and application similar to that of standard paint
  • Washable with water
  • Antistatic
  • Designed for people with allergies or chemical sensitivities (hypoallergenic)
  • Surfaces for application: Plaster, cement, cob, existing paint. Surfaces must be degreased and carefully prepared to remove any porous irregularities. A primer may be required
  • Application method: brush, paint roller, paint sprayer
  • Application conditions: above 5°C, dry weather; drying time = 12 to 36 hours depending on the temperature. Ideally, YShield® paints should be overcoated with two coats of water-repellent latex paint for external use, and with two coats of latex, vinyl or acrylic paint for internal use. After shielding any rooms with YShield® paint, a residual current device (RCD) must be installed to prevent any risk of overvoltage. The mains supply to the property must be switched off before any work is carried out using YShield® paints.
  • Earthing: YShield® paints must be earthed using the YShield® earthing kits for both exterior and interior paints.
  • We accept no liability for any damage caused to people, animals or property resulting from incorrect application of the paint, in particular where earthing and electrical installation do not comply with DIN 57100 / VDE 0100 standards. We recommend that the electrical installation and the earthing of YShield® paints be checked by a qualified electrician
  • Attenuation efficiency: -43 dB at high frequencies – Electrostatic fields: 99% attenuation - Electric fields, low frequencies: 99% - Ideal for attenuating future high-frequency applications in the telecommunications industry (excellent attenuation up to 18 GHz)

Relevant emissions:

  • GSM/DCS/GPRS/UMTS/LTE/5G mobile phone networks
  • DECT cordless telephones
  • Wi-Fi
  • Microwave links
  • Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • Microwave (Microwave oven leakage)
  • Satellite transmission

  • 50Hz electrical current

YShield® paints have a variety of applications:

  1. Military: shielding of highly confidential sites to prevent the hacking of data transmissions.
  2. High-tech industry: shielding of electronic components to resolve electromagnetic compatibility issues
  3. Medical: shielding of rooms or specific medical equipment emitting high levels of electromagnetic radiation to protect healthcare professionals and patients. YShield® paints offer a range to meet all requirements.

YShield® paints contain no toxic solvents, plasticisers or toxic components, but only very small quantities of initial volatile organic compounds in order to comply with the most stringent eco-friendly housing standards. The attenuation charts are certified by the University of Munich of the German Armed Forces.

Shielding of glazed surfaces:

Glass surfaces must also be shielded to prevent high-frequency and low-frequency waves from penetrating through these areas. We recommend using HFshield fabric to attenuate high-frequency waves and low-frequency electric fields. Description of YShield® earthing kits:

Earthing kit:

All painted surfaces must be earthed. This kit is specially designed for earthing YShield® paints

Jointing tape:

The connection tape ensures that, in the event of a crack, all surfaces painted with YShield® paints within an enclosed space remain earthed. It is self-adhesive. Length: 10 m, width: 2 cm, thickness: 0.06 mm.
